Welcome to the Coach's corner of the State Farm® Texas Scholar Athlete website

The State Farm® Texas Scholar Athlete Program recognizes high school seniors throughout Texas who exhibit leadership and good citizenship in academics and athletics, and who do so while demonstrating diversity by their extracurricular activities and commitment.

Scholar Athletes are individuals that excel in academic endeavors, as well as participate in UIL athletic practices, games and competitions on a daily basis. Most importantly, a scholar-athlete is an individual whose academic progress and success serves as a priority

Once again this year, fifty student-athletes will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship. Selection is based on criteria which include GPA, class ranking, academic achievements, UIL athletic participation, and in extra-curricular activities.

Students selected for this program are nominated by their high school counselors, but coaches can play an important part in this process!
