Who we are
State Farm® has made a commitment to Texas youth through our support for secondary and higher
education across the State of Texas. In addition to developing programs to foster safety
awareness and offer financial discounts for young drivers, we express our commitment through
our sponsorship of UIL championship-level and College-level programs and events throughout
Texas. We value the same characteristics that are embodied in Texas sports such as community,
leadership and team spirit, and recognize the young men and women who demonstrate a commitment
to achieving excellence in their academics while maintaining an active profile in co-curricular
and extra-curricular activities in their schools and communities.
We're proud of the fact that our own State Farm® Texas Scholar Athlete Program remains the largest
statewide athletic scholarship program in Texas and places great emphasis on academic excellence
as well as leadership. Now in our ninth year, the State Farm® Texas Scholar Athlete Program
has granted over $262,000 in scholarships to Texas high school seniors.
State Farm® is also pleased to be the long-time sponsor of high school sports and academic accomplishments
in Texas in conjunction with the University Interscholastic League (UIL) and has funded over $200,000
in scholarships through that organization.
State Farm® believes that by supporting these programs, we're investing in our future. We want to assist
high school students as they prepare for college, the work force, and to serve in their communities.

- 1,532 Coaches and Counselors were enrolled in the program
- 1,342 Nominations were accepted
- 468 UIL Schools are represented by the nominees
- Nominees live in 168 different counties and 392 different cities across Texas
- Fifty $1,000 Scholarship Awards were presented
